Many have already commented on here that this version of Borderlands 2 is a little bit sucky compared to say, on steam. Knowing the flaws that came with buying from iTunes I decided to purchase because I havent had any problems with other aspyr titles. I run Borderlands 2 on a MacBook Pro 2013 specs. The game itself is good enough for me. I enjoyed playing on xbox even though I find it extremely difficult - the challenge is half the fun. I highly reccomend the game if you are a fan of shooters or Rpgs or just like the fun cartoon-y look of the game. The game is good for casual and hardcore gamers alike. Just be aware that if you wish to play multiplayer that youll have to get set-up on Game Center. 4.5/5 stars +Hours of casual gameplay +Quick load times and smooth gameplay - even on a macbook pro with minimum specs -Difficulty is a little overwhelming at times. -No cross-platform multiplayer between this and other versions.

In this game ypou need to add the ability to have game saves becasue my game got curropted and it would not work after.in the future please allow us to have game saves.But dont get me wrong borderlands 2,in my opinion,is one of the best games you can buy

i cant even play it because it frose when i was downloading it and i have been downloading it for 25 hours and if anyone knows what to do please type it thank you

I am loving the game. great story line, smooth game play, graphics are great once you get past the cartoony look, and I even love the humor. The game is missing some features when bought off the Apple app store; such as the multiplayer search function. I feel these things should be fixed but to me it isn’t a make or brake. Your call.

This game is not working for OS X EL Captain….. I hope they patch it…

Two things I don’t like about this game: (1) There is no way to turn off the vulgarity. You can turn the violence down which is great, but WHY not have the option to turn off vulgarity in a game that is otherwise pretty good for kids? (2) The game does not work at all on my desktop iMac 5k with El Capitan. Crashes the instant you get to the screen where you start a new game. It’s actually a good game if they’d fix those to errors, which are pretty major in my eye.

This app worked fine unilt the latest update. If you are using El Capitan and want to play Borderlands 2, forget about it!

Just purchased this game, and to my HUGE disappointment as others mentioned here the game launches and after all the videos as soon as it gets to the main menu crashes and dies. This is UNSAT!!!! Save your money until this game get’s fixed.

The app crashes before it can even open. This latest update obviously has some serious problems.

11/13: Found a workaround. 1. Open the GameCenter app. 2. Sign out completely. 3. Launch Borderlands 2 4. Ignore the GameCenter opt-ins and play single player. Thats the only mode that works right now. UGH! New update, now it crashes right after it loads. Takes 75 seconds to start and then crash. Very disappointing.

All the pre-load screens (2K, Gearbox, etc) go by, then the Borderlands logo with a “press any key” prompt. Then, after pressing the key, you get a glimpse of the first game load screen ("Choose your character” etc.), before it crashes. FAIL.

Absoutely loved Borderlands 2, maybe my favorite game on the app store. Most recient update makes the game unplayable. Crashes as soon as you load up. Bug fixes? I don’t think so. Doesn’t work on Yosmite, doesn’t work on El Capitan. Save your money until they fix it.

Just like everybody keeps saying, it crashes after the “press any key” screen. I, too, am running El Capitan.

The game is amazing! It runs great and hasn’t crashed once in the 7+ hour I’ve played. I dont use el capitan, though, so you may want to wait for an update judging by some of the reviews.

I just got Borderlands 2 yesterday and twice, I’ve SAVED and quit the game and when i launch the game again, it starts close to the beginning.

Been playing for an hour on El Capitan and its working just fine… Not sure if they fixed it or my computers just magical… lol

The game, after a year of playing it, refused to open. It just kept crashing so when i made a copy and same thing. Then I tried redownlaoding it to find out now i have to pay 20 bucks to get it back..

But when I started the game it didn’t show any of the DLC that was said to have in-app, instead I have the standard game with just the four Vault Hunters and the main campaign. Now the game is working very well in my MacPro but I’m a little confused as to why the DLC is not included. If this is a problem then please tell what I have to do to get the full package of the game AND NOT JUST THE STANDARD GAME. Then maybe I’ll rate this a bit hire and enjoy the game a lot more. Thank you. Edit: Okay I found the problem, but it tells me that I have to pucrchase the DLC in-app, as in it wasn’t what I was thinking and now I feel like and idiot.
