With the snow falling and hitting/sticking to the front of your helmet…the aurora borealis in the sky…omg this reminds me of the first Halo….GET THIS ! !

BEST GAME EVER!!! This game has given me hours of fun! From the epic main story line, to all the DLC this game offers. You are in for a treat when you purchase this game. The upgrades, the characters, the enemies, the hilarious dialogue, epic guns, multiplayer sessions! All i have left to say is MIND BLOWN!

Are you looking for an adventure type game? If so, choose Borderlands 2! It’s so fun and I love playing it. It is more fun with two people btw.

Where to start… The game is, of course, lovely. If you’ve played Borderlands then you know that the games are just amazing, but you will most likely be dissapointed in how similar the vault hunters are in the second game compared to the first. The only thing that I dislike about this, and why I gave it 4 stars is that the multiplayer needs a lot of improvement! To start, there is not a public option which limits you to only your friends on Game Center, which if youre like me, you have none. Second is that there isn’t a microphone option which leads me to believe that there is no chat in multiplayer. Anyways, I would buy it a million times more, and if you need someone to play with like I do, add iAmKrypt0 :)

I have a macbook air and it does not open… it goes to the launching screen but when I press Launch game it opens and freezes in a black screen;;; wasted $19.99 on this… can anyone help??

need i say more? wish the COD games for mac were able to use the ps4 controller.

I really like borderlands 2, but every time i press the launch game button it does nothing at all.

When I tried to download this game, an error message poped up that said that there was not enough free disk space. After clearing a bunch of uneeded apps off of my comupter, I had more than 18GB, and the same error message is coming up. I checked the download requierments and it says that it needs only 10GB. What should I do???

Having purchased this game via the apple App store I can say it is awesome. Fun game play, good for MONTHS worth of fun. That said DO NOT BUY FROM APP STORE!!!! There are a ton of really great features I missed out on, namely swift codes which allow you to get free goodies a bit after the beginning of the game. This is a crucial, critical, important GREAT part of the game that Apple has on lock down via the app store. I also discourage buying from the app store because you do not get the fleshed out multiplayer search and It’s a shame because I put months worth of game play in which is an absolute necissity for the late game. Of course I spent money on the game itself, a ton of DLC stuff before realizing that I was stuck because of the restrictions Apple has arbitrarily placed on this game. I cannot emphasize this enough, BUY FROM STEAM DO NOT BUY THIS FROM APP STORE!!!!

This is a great sequel to Borderlands. Although there are some plot holes, the storyline is far more coherent than the original game. The humor is better as well. I’ve played all the way through on Assassin mode and am starting other characters. It was challenging without being overly frustrating, though some of the side quests seem inordinately difficult. One flaw in the game is the restrictions that other reivewers mention on the App Store version; limited multiplayer and no Shift codes. I don’t play multiplayer, but the lack of Shift codes is annoying. There is a golden chest in Sanctuary, the main mission hub of 90% of the game that you see when you arrive every time. It’s supposed to be unlockable with golden keys, but there is no way to get a golden key in the Mac App version. Fine, but why keep the chest in the game, then? That aside, I really enjoyed the game and felt it well worth the purchase price. I’ve played the original for hours on end and am looking forward to exploring to find what I missed on my first playthrough.

While the game is wonderful not providing the ability to use shift codes is just another way of saying the app store doesnt care what they sell you. Every other platform allows for the use of shift codes to obtain golden keys, but for some reason this version does not. If I wouldve done research, I would not have purchased this game. If you have anyother platform to play this game do it, dont bother with this obvious pathetic attempt at selling a partial product.

I’ve played this game on both console and on my mac but the console is a lot better. For starters you can use Gunzerker properly (you can’t fire both guns at the same time) and secondly the online on here ONLY works with Game Center friends rather than online public or other options. Finally you cannot get Golden Keys on here, I get that once you start getting legendaries it doesn’t matter but Golden Keys are a feature that is missing.

This game is great! It has a great story and amazing gamplay! I recomend this game to anyone who likes comedic action FPS!

As stated above, you can only play co-op with Game Center friends. If you want access to co-op with random people online, you will need to purchase the Steam edition. I understand cross platform multiplayer with Steam is not possible with the Mac Appstore edition, but random matching online with Game Center users would be highly appreciated. If this were to be implimented, I would give this app a 5 star rating. Despite the lack of an accesible co-op mode, the single player more than makes up for this. Playing solo makes you feel like a pioneer traversing an unsettled foreign land. Unlike Borderlands GOTY, Borderlands 2 contains different enviornments ranging from a desert, a plains surrounded by mountains, and a tundra. It’s not completely open world, but rather divided into many seperate areas that can be accesed via a transportation device, though I never felt boxed into the game world. The large vistas made the game feel much more open. Besides the stellar enviornments, the game’s mission hub, a town name Sanctuary, gave the game much more life. It was nice to have an area where I was not required to kill enemies for a change. It made the game world feel more plausible and full of life. The side characters also provide great company and humor, especially your robotic companion “claptrap”. The great characters, environments, and millions of weapons/customization options really give Borderlands 2 a lot of life even though the game consists mostly of grinding. It’s also worth mentioning how well this game runs on lower-end macs. I am running this game with detail settings on high with a 2014 i5 processor 4 GB Ram Macbook Air. With a simple guide online, I was able to tweak the GameEngine.ini file to make this game run smoothly on my Mac. With the .ini file tweaks, turning off unneccesary features like dynamic shadows, lowering the resolution to 1280 x 720, and capping the frame rate at 30 fps; I was able to play Borderlands 2 on high details without the fan kicking up for long play sessions. I am really impressed with this port’s optimization! Lastly, it should be known that you do not need any of the DLC to enjoy this game. The base game is leagues better than the DLC. Tiny Tina’s Assult on Dragon Keep was a great expansion worth buying during Aspyr’s many $1.99 DLC sales. The rest are kind of shallow and quick campaigns revolving around a side character.

for those of you who have played BL2, you already know its awesome. The only problem i had with the mac vrsion was the download, it took days of trying to download. it would just keep saying waiting and error. but it finally worked.

This game and a few others have helped me through some hard times. I just wanted to thank this game and for people to know it’s an AMAZING game to play with a pew-pew there and bang-bang there… lol. Anyways, just thanks :)
