This game can’t run at all on my MacBook Pro, even though all my specs are correct and I never strained the graphics card. Huge disapointment. Guess it was my fault, thinking macs were gaming machines.

I decided to get this today to try it out on my mac. The download got extremely close to finishing, only to say there was an error and that I need to start it all over again….kind of making me regret buying this now

I also decided to give this a shot. Should have listened to the other review. 24 hours later, 5 download attempts and each one failed due to a "unknown error" as the game was "completed downloading". Ive even reformatted my mac to ensure there was enough space. Really regretting this.

I already have Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2 on Xbox 360. These games are such beautiful classics and are a must-have to anybody. Be it the casual gamer, a competitive player, or kids with a comical sense for drawn violence and awesome backwards humor. I don’t mind buying the games twice at all. These things come once in a lifetime, we must support them!

a person pays money for this game and you don’t allow shift on the game i don’t think it is right, we payed money for it and shouldn’t get content withheld from us.

i have macbook pro retina and its not working. the startup screen automatically goes down to the bottom section and the view of the character spins in circles. please fix this, for borderlands is a great series and doesn’t deserve this kind of quality

ゲーム自体はすごく面白いし、動きもサクサクです。 ひとつだけ、残念な部分は、Retina MacBook Proの解像度2880*1800に対応せず、 最大解像度は1440*900までです。 Retinaじゃなかったら完璧ですね。

冗長になったレビューを書き直し。 名声を獲得した Borderlans の続編です。前作は Feral の移植でしたが、今回は Aspyr から発売されています。 RPG と FPS を融合させたゲームスタイルで、戦闘やクエスト報酬によって経験値を稼ぎ、レベルが上がると新たなスキルを獲得でき、さらに戦闘に活かせるようになります。キャラごとに個性的なスキルが揃っており、そのスキルも組み合わせ方次第で様々な戦闘方法を楽しめます。 基本的には戦闘がメインのゲームですが、前作に比べてストーリーの比重が大きくなっています。前作を DLC まで含めて全てプレイしていなと分かりづらい部分がありますが、舞台となる惑星 Pandra では、現在 Hyperion 社が事実上の独裁政府化しており、その社長である Handsome Jack が横暴・非道の限りを尽くしているので、彼を打倒して自由を取り戻す、というのがメインストーリーです。けっこうシリアスな仕立てで、「弾丸ばらまきゲーのおまけ」的だった前作とは趣きが異なります。 日本語の吹替え・字幕はないので、英語のリスニングと字幕でストーリーを追って行けないと、ちょっと面白みに欠けるでしょう。舞台となっている惑星がもともと放棄されたフロンティア（かつて植民・開拓の最前線だったのが、打ち捨てられた）で無法地帯化しているので、かなり汚いスラングも多く、学校教育レベルの英語力だと付いて行けないかも知れません。もっとも、雰囲気でだいたいの内容は分かると思います。 武器やシールドなどは、マップと敵のレベルに応じてランダムに生成されます。レアな装備ほど高性能ですが、レベルが高くなると追いつかなくなるので、レア度が低くても高レベルの装備を使った方が良い、ということもあります。また、そのとき使える装備に応じてスキル構成を変えるのも有効です。スキルの振り直しはわずかな金額（もちろんゲーム内の通貨）でできるので、積極的に変えて行くのが良いでしょう。 最初にプレイできるのは Normal モードだけですが、いったんクリアしたキャラでは True Vault Hunter モード（2週目）が解禁されます。同じストーリーを繰り返すだけですが、敵のレベル上限が上がり、より強力な敵が現れるようになり、激しい戦闘を楽しめます。DLC の Ultimate Vault Hunter モードを購入すれば、さらに過激な3週目を楽しめます。2週目、3週目になると、レベルが1〜2上がるだけで装備を一新する必要があるほどインフレ化するので、レア度の低い装備で遣り繰りする必要性も高くなります。 ----- 現在、Mac App Store 版で購入可能な DLC 等について。 1. 前作のセーブデータがあると、(1)若干の追加スキン、(2)グレネードMod、(3)初期装備のおまけ、がもらえます。 2. 現在購入できる DLC は、 (1) Mechromancer Pack：新キャラ Gaige を追加 (2) Psyco Pack：新キャラ Krieg を追加 (3) Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack：3週目だけで手に入る新装備追加、レベル上限が+11（最高レベル61） (4) Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2：レベル上限がさらに+11（最高72）、新装備追加、Digistruct Peak Challenge（闘技場型の戦闘訓練シナリオ）、レベル72以降もさらに強い敵と、さらに強い装備で戦える特殊モードを追加 (5) Captain Scarlett and her Pirates Booty：DLCシナリオ1 (6) Mr. Torgues Campaign of Carnage：DLCシナリオ2 (7) Sir Hammerlocks Big Game Hunt：DLCシナリオ3 (8) Tiny Tinas Assault on Dragon Keep：DLCシナリオ4 (9) Creature Slaughterdome：闘技場型の戦闘シナリオ (10) TK Bahas Bloody Harvest：DLCシナリオ5（ミニシナリオ） となっています。このほか、PC 版等では限定スキンの DLC 販売などがありますが、Mac App Store 版には存在しません。 GotY (Game of the Year) 版発売の情報があり、それには(1)〜(3)と(5)〜(9)その他が含まれる見込みですが、ここ Mac App Store でも GotY 版が販売されるかは分かりません。これらの DLC を個別に購入すると結構な金額になるので、まだ本体未購入の方は様子をうかがった方が良いかも知れません。 3. 現在実装されていない機能は、 (1) Mac App Store 版同士「以外」との協力プレイ（PC版はもちろん、SteamのMac版とも不可） (2) Shift コード（開発元である Gearbox やその社員のブログ、SNSで配布されるコードで、(a)限定スキンの配布、(b)ある町にある黄金の宝箱の鍵の配布などに使われている） (3) 期間限定で行われるイベント（たとえば特定のボスが特定のレアアイテムを高確率でドロップするようになる等） となっていて、いずれも今後実装される見込みはなさそうです（ Mac App Store を介在させると、仕様上できないらしい）。(2)-(b)は、装備1個で難局が打開できるほどではないので大した問題ではありませんが、協力プレイを楽しみたい方は Steam 版などを検討した方が良いでしょう。(2)-(a)や(3)は、ちょっと損をした気分です。 ----- 動作環境に付いて。 Mac mini (Mid 2011)/2.5GHz/8GBRAM/Radeon HD 6630Mでは、画面解像度800*600、アンチエイリアス等の諸設定OFF〜Low辺りで安定的にプレイできます。 Retina MacBook Pro (Early 2013)/2.7GHz/16GBRAM/GeForce GT 650Mでは、画面解像度1280*800、アンチエイリアスOFF、異方性フィルタリング2倍、その他の設定はHighで、安定してプレイ可能です。

Can’t download the last update!!!

This game is fun and funny, and really entertaining. Runs great on my vintage 2009 Mac Pro (with the Radeon 5870), so shouldn’t have much trouble on any modern computer.

I play on BL2 on PS3, I also use the golden keys. To me, it is an integral part of the game experience. Golden Keys are not available on the Mac App Store version.

I don’t have this in my application support folder! I do not know why. Please help

This game is a serious load of pure guilty fun! Problem is, the App Store version does not let you use SHIFT codes, nor play multiplayer with anyone but other App Store players… I have checked… There are not many! This game is WAY better in multiplayer and Steam has WAY more players of this game. The worst part is… They should plaster these facts all over the App Store page, it should be the first thing you see! I had to go and spend $50 and get the Steam version just to play with other players… Then I found out what SHIFT codes are!!! I am actually MAD at Apple & Aspyr for giving us such a gimped version of a great game! On the game itself? It is one hell of a fun FPS/RPG and one of the select few games I keep in my rotation of play! Get it from Steam and maybe we can duel online ;)

Not a huge gamer, but love playing this with my Playstation 3 controller on the 27” thunderbolt apple display. Wonderful graphics.

This is one of the best games that I have ever bought from the App Store. Not only does it come with all the DLC, it’s also four-person co-operative, and that’s a ton of fun. Now, I know that most people will, most likely, agree and say the same thing - that it’s great. It is, but there’s one major problem (that, by the way, isn’t THAT big of a deal). If you don’t have a high-quality graphics card, then the graphics are gonna look really jank. For me, though, this was not a problem (I enjoyed the smooth 60FPS). If you don’t have this game, get it.

If you do so, you will be not able to play with your friends who played with STEAM. Go to STEAM and download there. It will be funny when you spend another 19.99 for a seam game.

Awesome MAC application of BL2...

This game is one of my favorites. While the App Store version isn’t as good, it is still very enjoyable. I just managed to finish my first playthrough and finished two of the smaller headhunter DLC’s and am starting true vault hunter mode. Add me on Game Center: Obachokie. I am always in the mood for co-op.

It’s next to impossible to play with anyone else on the app store, unless your friend buys it too and then signs up as a friend on Game Center. It’s too complicated. The game is fun, but it’s better on Steam, because you can play with others, and plus it’s cheaper.

“Borderlands 2” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Borderlands 2” and download it again from the App Store. I’ve tried Downloading and Installing this 10.7GB game from the App Store 5 times over the past week with the same response every time I try to launch it for the first time… This machine has a fresh (and fully updated) reimage of Mavericks…before the reimage Borderlands 2 (from the initial download about 6 months ago worked perfectly…now it will not launch at all...
